Welcome!
Come in! Sit down! Enjoy a cuppa tea.
Whoof! 2020-'22 has been a doozy of a year, hasn't it? It really doesn't even seem like two years, just one long, unending one. But, with the Baby Vax in the rear view mirror, 2023 is looking more like normal. Finally. Everyone has lost people the last two years. It's been hard for everyone. But, let me tell you, living with someone who doctors tell you should not get COVID because they don't know whether or not he'd be okay at the end of it? It's been difficult. It's been frustrating. And when that loved one is just a toddler, who was not even go to the grocery store with Mom during the infection spikes, it's even more difficult and frustrating. The end is in sight, though. Preschool has started, and life is starting to get back into routine. Even though we know the vaccine won't protect him from a COVID infection during his lifetime, it will definitely help his immune system fight off the virus before it gets to his 1 7/8 lungs to wreak havoc there. And that's why we have made the sacrifices we have the last three years. To keep the little one safe.
Enough about me and mine. How have you and yours been doing? Have you weathered the ongoing storm with grace and patience? Or have you demanded your way or the high way (if so, in the interest of full disclosure, this may not be the place for you)?
But, however you are weathering the pandemic, if you want some good ol' fashioned escapism, you're in the right place.
